This your special invitation to join us on May 21–26th 2006 at the third annual

Napa Valley Wine Dine and Stocks Seminar 2006

To paraphrase the post-event evaluation surveys from our two years of WDS attendees, “the week was a glorious time for stock, wine and food junkies to laugh, learn and discover wineries and make new friends for life. Could not have been much more fun or enlightening in all regards—wines, food, stocks or people!”

Well, as fun as last year was, we’ve improved the 2006 event THIRTEEN exciting ways:

#1) We've kept a “down day”: our troops told us they do not march on just wine, food, and stocks alone. They told us they want a down day to shop, spa and/or just hang. So we've added a day at the glorious Villagio Resort and Spa for a “Hang Day”.

Do nothing, take a cooking class, get the full spa treatment, go on a shopping safari, or join me for a “Wine Collectors Safari” hunting down the most exclusive wines that are only available in VERY, VERY short supplies.

But we added a “food discovery night” where you’re on you own for a quiet dinner (or not so quiet—your call) at the best tables in Yountville and Napa Valley. We have made reservations at the best restaurants in the Valley (limited reservations will be available at the French Laundry and Auberge de Soleil).

#2-5) Three new food venues:

  • Opening night “Napa Artisan Food Fest” featuring local gourmet food vendors to get you in the right spirit for the week
  • Tuscan Cuisine Night at a glorious private home tasting world famous Cain Winery wines with a few surprises added in
  • Napa Noshing Night at famed Peju Provence Winery featuring indigenous “Napa Style” foods and grilling

Seven new wineries to discover. Our guests last year told us unequivocally: “we like the very small family owned and run wineries best.” So we added nine new ones to our perennial favorites Peju, Frank Family, Livingston Moffet and Shramsberg sparking wine.

#6-13) Seven new wineries to discover. We have added nine new ones to our perennial favorites Peju, Shramsberg, and Conn Valley Anderson.

Only the Best Wine Will do. A big lesson we have learned from our guests in Napa is that our guests LOVE the good stuff. So we have instructed our participating wineries to allow us to taste their:

  • #1 best version of each most current releases,
  • #1 best value available on the wine list, and
  • #1 wine in their library that is for sale.

Bring your credit card and make sure you have room to move because you are going to go home with a LOT of great wine bought at wholesale prices.

What doesn't change for Wine, Dine, and Stocks 2006 seminar is:

  • Quality time with me. It’s a great privilege for me to spend some serious down time with our most loyal subscribers in one of my most favorite locations in the world. We'll have six hours of class time and extra offline time as well to answer EVERY one of your stock or strategy questions. I’ll also be with each small group for at least one day of laughing and wine pontificating.
  • Your access to wineries, wine makers, and dining experiences that the average person in Napa would NEVER have access to. We really work our family wine making connections to get you a true insider“s experience in every thing you experience during this magical week.
  • Our hard working trip leaders Marjorie Smith, Anne Smith and Alyson Krogh—each of our three groups of 20–25 attendees gets an intimate experience at each winery in a small group.
  • Their incredible organizational skills—you will make NO decisions for a week except for dinner Wednesday night!
  • The most beautiful time of the year to be in Napa Valley ñ late spring. The 12 shades of green will make you want to call a real estate agent the day you leave.
  • The fabulous Villagio Resort and Spa—the finest combo of luxury and spa in the Valley.
  • Our winemakers discounts up to 20% off retail prices for wine purchased on the trip. If you buy wine like I do, our discount deal will pay for your entire trip!
  • The greatest people you will ever meet. We have had a number of our guests from past years organize reunion trips with other attendees! Most of our guests are self–employed in one way or another, so when you get 75 entrepreneurial wine, food, and stock junkies together in one place it's a firestorm of fun. On the last day you will think you've known these people for a lifetime.

In short I hope you can join us for this year’s adventures and experiences.

The bad news is that based on previous years the trip will sell out the first day we offer it—we oversold last year by 150% and NOW we have twice the number of people on our invitation list.

So check out our “portfolio” of unique wine and food experiences scheduled for our week in paradise and get your deposit in RIGHT now before we sell out.
